Jack Murphy Malvern Coat Reviews
“Affordable quality at a reasonable price.” Wearable and comfortable, with enough of space below for layering in cold weather. Weatherproof and ideal for walking our dog on rainy days! The colours are well-chosen, and the hats match.”
“I like the raincoat since it is a good colour, fit, and length.” It was easy to order, and I felt like I was given enough information to make an informed selection.”
“What a fantastic value!” It’s excellent for bringing the dogs on a rainy stroll. It keeps me dry and toasty while preventing me from feeling claustrophobic. Deep pockets with a secure internal pocket to store your phone, keys, and other valuables. It’s incredible.”
“My spouse bought this coat for me, and it fits well.” I love the colour, and the coat is comfortable and keeps me dry when it rains. The removable hood is great since I’ll be able to remove it when the weather is dry and cool in the summer. I’m 5’3″ tall, and the coat hits just above my ankles, which is the perfect length for me.”
“After they were happy with their purchase, a friend suggested the coat to me.” I made the decision to acquire one for myself, and I’m pleased I did. I can see myself wearing this a lot in the winter because it’s both fashionable and warm. “I strongly advise you to purchase one.”
“This coat is really warm and waterproof. It was properly tested in Cornwall on numerous windy and wet October casual walks around the coast. There will be no more damp legs, and the length is ideal for wellies. It’s excellent for walking your dog in the city or in a park.”
“I’ve had comparable jackets before and found them to be somewhat warmer and more sturdy than a cheaper version that, in my experience, barely lasted a year.” The olive colour is a mild country colour, and the lining is comfortable; the length and design make it appropriate for muddy treks and rainy days in town or out in the country. That was just what I needed!”
About Jack Murphy Clothing
In 1950, Jack Murphy established his first clothing business. All of the clothing were manufactured, cut, sewn, packed, and distributed from a single tiny local factory in his native country of Ireland at the time.
Jack Murphy has a long-standing relationship with Fleet Farm & Equestrian; we’ve been stocking their products for over ten years. Their high-quality, classic country designs, along with their practical waterproof apparel, result in a line of items that give elegance and refinement to the outdoor and country clothing markets.
JACK MURPHY WAS THE START OF IT ALL…
Jack Murphy was born in 1922, the son of a fish seller on Capel Street, one of Dublin’s biggest marketplaces. He grew up in Dublin’s city centre during the 1930s, at a period of considerable turmoil in Ireland.
Jack was just 17 years old when WWII broke out, and three years later he joined the Royal Air Force in Belfast. He was stationed at Hiroshima, Japan, as a radar control officer. After sustaining a knee injury, Jack was taken back to Britain in 1945.
Jack married Frances in 1950, and the couple and their five children relocated to Skerries, Co. Dublin. It was here that he launched his first clothing company. He had a little local factory where he created clothing and delivered them all around town. Back then, the entire process took place in a single factory: clothing were designed, cut, sewn, packed, and delivered.
Years later, his second son Michael would follow in his father’s footsteps and work in the rag trade. Michael, who had previously built a successful fruit and vegetable stall in Skerries town, was keen to learn the ins and outs of the Irish clothing industry. During his time in Ireland, Michael and his business partner began selling leftover army items across the country. While on the road, experiencing four seasons in one day, they recognised a need in the market for outdoor camping gear.
They then co-founded a firm, which became known as Jack Murphy Clothing over time. Jack Murphy Clothes began selling outdoor clothing and camping gear in the 1980s and has expanded significantly over the previous 35 years. The well-known town and country clothing business has expanded from these humble origins to provide ranges that are still designed in Ireland. As a family-owned business, the firm adheres to its key values of providing quality, beauty, and refinement to utilitarian clothing. This mindset is exemplified by the guy who started it all: Jack Murphy.
His son, Michael Murphy, is still the managing director of Jack Murphy. Michael’s daughter, Sarah, has recently joined the family company and is learning the ins and outs of the trade from her father.
